Care Closer to Home ( aka out-of-hospital care) is a key part of the plan for cost-cutting Accountable Care Organisations – and it’s not working.

999 Call for the NHS is challenging the lawfulness of NHS England’s Accountable Care Organisation contract in a Judicial Review in Leeds Court on 24 April. They need £5,350 to cover the costs of this.

Accountable Care Organisations are a new form of local NHS and social care organisation, based on the USA Medicare/Medicaid business model, that provides limited state-funded healthcare for people who are too poor to pay for private health insurance.

This is NOT what we want our NHS to turn into!
